Transitioning is not easy, especially when you have to replace a legendary man or woman. Moses is now dead and Joshua his successor is transitioning the people and preparing them to possess the promise land. Joshua goes before Lord seeking directions and assurance from God. He needs to know if God was going to grant him success as he led the people of Israel into the Promised Land.

And this is the instruction God gave Joshua as an assurance of success. “Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.” Joshua 1:8 (NLT)

So let’s summarize what God told Joshua to do. He did not give him a battle strategy or promise him miraculous events. God instructed him to study and meditate on His Word. As believers, we need to spend time doing what God told Joshua to do. We need to study and meditate on the Word of God, the Bible.

As a result of studying and meditating on the Word of God on a consistent basis, we will experience prosperity and success. You should develop a strategy for reading and meditating on the Word of God.

Studying and meditating on the Word of God is the key to your prosperity and success.
