Let God Fight Your Battles

There are some battles we cannot and should not fight. Sometimes, the enemy we face is so powerful and overwhelming that all we can do is call on God for help. As Moses led the children of Israel out of Egypt, Pharaoh decided to pursue them with his army. God used Pharaoh one more time to show Israel that He is a God who is able to fight for His people. “But Moses told the people, ‘Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.'” Exodus 14:13-14 (NLT)

I am a natural fighter; I will fight to defend my family, my church, and my friends. While I believe in fighting, there are some battles I cannot and should not fight. When I am confronted by overwhelming circumstances, I have learned to raise my hands in praise and let God fight.

What are you facing that seems overwhelming to you? Are you fighting the giant of sickness, finances, hurt, discouragement, betrayal or low self-esteem? Let me encourage you. In the midst of your fight raise your hands in praise and surrender to God. Allow Him to fight this battle for you. If you allow God to fight your battles, I promise that you will never see that enemy again. Just stay calm and let God fight for you.

Be Blessed,
