“But You know me, O LORD; You see me; And You examine my heart’s attitude towards You…” (Jeremiah 12:3)
Having the right attitude in a crisis will determine the level of your success. In other words, if you are optimistic about your business succeeding, then you are more likely to succeed. A sixth grader once told me that every mistake is an opportunity to learn. If I don’t learn from my mistakes, then I am doomed to experience the same mistakes over and over again until I learn from that mistake.
The symbol for the word crisis in Chinese is made up of two words: danger and opportunity. Crisis does not always end in disaster. In fact, a crisis can present an opportunity to accomplish something or it can help push us to the next level. It’s our choice. We can choose to complain, grumble and murmur during our crises, but it will only lead to more pain.
Complaining
Even more than this, complaining and grumbling show distrust in God. Complaining indicates that we do not believe God is in control and will work things out for our good. It further shows that we are distrusting of God’s power, and that we question His ability to take care of us in the situation.
Having the right attitude in a crisis gives you a different perspective. People who have the right attitude are always looking for solutions and ways to use the crisis to their benefit. There are five key points about having the right attitude:
- Your attitude is a matter of choice and you can choose to have the right attitude.
- Your attitude determines the level of your accomplishment.
- Your attitude determines your emotional state.
- Your attitude will overcome any enemy or adversity.
- Your attitude will determine how high you fly.
How is My Attitude During Crisis?
Having the right attitude during crisis will determine the length of the crisis. So my question to you is how is your attitude during your crisis? Do you allow bitterness to control you or do you possess an attitude that will praise God, knowing with all your heart that God is turning your crisis into victory? Remember that your attitude towards God will determine His attitude toward you. Therefore, I choose to:
Enter His gates with thanksgiving And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name.” (Ps. 100:4)
The Power of an Attitude of Gratitude
An attitude of gratitude is the key to releasing the supernatural power of God. Do you need a miracle in your life? The key to your miracle is having an ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE. Paul tells the church at Philippi this:
“Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.” (Phil. 4:6-7 The Message)
