From Bishop Jemmott’s book Words of Encouragement: Book One
“While he was eating, a woman came in with a beautiful alabaster jar of expensive perfume and poured it over his head.” Matthew 26:7 (NLT) The story of this woman is very compelling. The Bible does not identify her, we don’t know her name or where she came from. All we know is what she did with her most precious possession.
When she poured the expensive perfume on Jesus, she did more than just anoint Him. First, she gave Jesus her most precious possession. What have you given as a sacrifice to Jesus? Have you given Him your best?
Next, her ministry to Jesus prepared Him for His destiny to the cross. As believers, we also need to pour ourselves into the lives of other believers. It’s time to break open your most precious possession, you! And pour yourself into the lives of other believers; someone needs your ministry to push them to their destiny.
Be Blessed,
Bishop Jemmott
