From Bishop Jemmott’s book Words of Encouragement: Book One
To be skilled means you possess the knowledge, ability or training to perform a certain activity or task well. It also means that you have the training, qualification, and credentials to perform that task. The book of Proverbs says this about skilled people. “Observe people who are good at their work––skilled workers are always in demand and admired; they don’t take a back seat to anyone.” Proverbs 22:29 (MSG)
According to the text, you need to observe and study people who are skilled at what they do. If your desire is to excel in your field, you will need to spend your time with skilled people in your field. You should not waste your time and effort hanging with people who are not skilled. If you want to be known as a skilled person, hang with skilled people. When you become a skilled person, your skill will take you to the front of the line.
Be Blessed,
Bishop Jemmott
