From Bishop Jemmott’s book Words of Encouragement: Book One
The word condemn signifies to express an unfavorable or adverse judgment. It also declares one as guilty and sentenced to punishment. To condemn also means to judge or pronounce unfit for service. Apostle Paul informs us that as believers we are not to worry about our past or the mistakes we have made.
“Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.” Romans 8:1-2 (NASB)
You are condemned by sin from the minute you are born. Sin not only dominates your life, but it puts you under God’s judgment. However, God gave us a solution for that condemnation. He gave us His Son, who died for us that we might no longer be condemned by sin. That’s why Paul informs us, “there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” If you are in Christ, you are “free from the law of sin and death.”
There is no condemnation in Christ!
Be Blessed,
Bishop Jemmott
