The Key to Wealth

The Key to Wealth

January 20, 2016

From Bishop Jemmott’s book Words of Encouragement: Book One

Wealth is the abundance of valuable resources or valuable material possessions. Many believe that wealth is sinful, which the Bible does not teach. On the contrary the Bible teaches that wealth is available to every believer.

The Bible says that God will give us the power to become wealthy. In other words, God will give the ability, ideas, inventions and new ways of doing things to increase our wealth. “But you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.” Deuteronomy 8:18 (NASB)

How can we receive this promised power? By studying and meditating on the Word of God. “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.” Joshua 1:8 (NASB)

The choice is yours! As Solomon puts it, “Ignore the Word and suffer; honor God’s commands and grow rich.” Proverbs 13:13 (MSG) One of God’s commands for growing rich is sowing seed into the kingdom.

Be Blessed,

Bishop Jemmott
