As I said earlier, involvement means to draw in as a participant, to relate closely, to connect, to include. Read what Dr. Luke writes about the early church. “All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.” Acts 2:42 (NLT)
As believers, we cannot isolate ourselves from the body of Christ; we must get involved. If you’ve been sitting on your assets, it’s time to “Get Off Your Assets” and get involved. Here are some very important areas a believer should become involved in. First, get involved in group and personal Bible study, and prayer. Second, get involved with members of your family.
As believers, we cannot become so involved with ministry that we forget about our families. Make it a priority to get involved in the lives of your family members. Be there for them, spend quality time with them, sit and have a meal together, have conversations with them. Remember, it’s your family first, then the church. Even if your family members are not saved, they are your priority. When you make them your priority, they will come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior by your example.
Make it your business to get involved with your family!
Be Blessed,
Bishop Jemmott
