Let’s review what we have learned about acknowledging the Lord. First, we learned that to acknowledge someone is to recognize and certify that the person exists. So when you acknowledge God as stated in Proverbs 3:6, “In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.” (NASB), you are saying that God exists. We also learned that the best way to acknowledge the Lord is through our praise and worship.

      The final observation about acknowledging the Lord is this: we can acknowledge Him in our prayers. How do we acknowledge Him in our prayers? Let me share this very brief prayer with you, and as you pray or read, see the ways we acknowledge the Lord.

      “Thank you, Lord. Thank you that You are in charge of this situation. Thank you that You have the answer to this problem. In every step, Lord, I acknowledge You. Every question I bring to You. Every decision I submit to You. Thank you, Lord, that You are in charge. Thank you that You are willing to accept responsibility.”

      When you acknowledge God, you bring Him into your situation, and you can be assured that He will direct your every step. You can be sure that He will direct your paths because you have acknowledged Him from your heart.
