The Word of God

The Word of God

November 17, 2015

Everything in this world is decaying or dying; nothing that man makes last forever. I live in New York City, and I’ve watched the construction of the Freedom Tower. From the day the foundation of that building was laid, until the day it was completed, unless it is maintained, it’s going to experience decay. The same thing happens in nature; every living thing will decay and die.

The universe as we know it today will change. Scientists believe that someday our sun will die, and when that happens, our solar system will decay and die. The only thing that will last forever is the Word of God. Jesus said, “Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.” Matthew 24:35 (NLT) Only the Word of God is eternal.

Listen to what Isaiah said about the Word: “It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.”

Isaiah lists three things that the Word of God accomplishes. The first thing, it will produce fruit in your life. The second, it will accomplish God’s purpose in your life. And finally, it will bring prosperity into everything you do. What the Word of God produces in your life will stand forever. Put your trust in the only thing that’s eternal, the Word of God!

Be Blessed,

Bishop Jemmott
