Charismatic Christian author and speaker Joyce Meyer said the following: “Getting organized in the normal routines of life and finishing little projects you’ve started is an important first step toward realizing larger goals. If you can’t get a handle on the small things, how will you ever get it together to focus on the big things?” I love what she says about finishing the little projects. If you can’t finish the little one how are you going to finish the big ones?
Come on be honest with yourself, how many projects have you started and not finished? How many books have you started reading and never finished? How many house projects have you started, which are still incomplete, and any time your wife complains about them, you tell her that you will get to it eventually?
The author of the book of Ecclesiastes says, “Finishing is better than starting.” Ecclesiastes 7:8a (NLT) At first I was puzzled by what he was trying to say, but then it all made sense because many start but few finish. You will never experience success until you finish what you have started. So, my dear friend, finish what you have started. Pick up that book and read it until the end; go back and finish every project you left unfinished. As Joyce Meyer said, “finishing little projects you’ve started is an important first step toward realizing larger goals.”
