Failure to Live Holy

Sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference between the believer and the unbelievers. We sometimes dress and act alike; there was a time when you could tell the difference between believers and unbelievers by their attire and conversation. Now don’t get bent and twisted, I am not saying that your dress code has anything to do with your salvation, but there was a time when the believers had a different standard.

Today, believers don’t want to hear you talk about holiness. Everyone wants to do what feels right to them and still call themselves believers, but the Bible teaches differently. Read what Apostle Paul said: “God has called us to live holy lives, not impure lives. Therefore, anyone who refuses to live by these rules is not disobeying human teaching but is rejecting God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.” 1 Thessalonians 4:7-8 (NLT)

Your failure to live a holy life and to live as you please – not according to God’s standard of holiness – means that you are rejecting God. Sorry if you don’t like these words, but it’s what the Bible teaches. Jesus said, “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” John 14:15 (NASB)

And when you reject God, you are not part of His Kingdom.
