Living by Faith

I woke up this morning worried about how or when God is going to provide the resources for all of our financial needs, not only for the church budget but also for our personal budget as well.

We have always been able to depend on a steady income flow. God provided for us through our employment, but now that God has moved us away from that dependence, old habits die hard, we are now walking in a season of faith and total dependence on God.

Let me share what God shared with me:

“People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.” Matthew 6:32-34 MSG

Upon reading this, all my concerns about budget and finances faded away, after all, I am no longer an employee; I am a partner in this enterprise called the Kingdom of God and our God knows how to bless His partners. So focus your attention on building the kingdom of God, the finances will be there when they are needed.

Be Blessed!
