Acknowledge God

When you acknowledge a person it means that you recognize that the person is real or true; your acknowledgement certifies that the person exists. It also shows or expresses that you recognize the authority in the person, and shows your appreciation and gratitude for that person. Proverbs 3:6 (NASB) says, “In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.”

What the Psalmist was saying is that if you want God’s assurance and control in your life, you must acknowledge Him. These six words are the key to that assurance –“In all thy ways acknowledge Him.” Who is He? The Lord. As I said earlier, to acknowledge God is to recognize that He is God and that He exists. When you acknowledge God, you show your appreciation and gratitude for who He is in your life. Acknowledging God has its benefits. When you acknowledge Him, He involves Himself in your life, and He makes every crooked path in your life straight.

So, take a moment out of your busyness, stop for a moment and just acknowledge God. Let Him know that He is important and essential to your well-being on this earth, especially in this season when we celebrate the birth of His greatest gift to mankind, His Son, Jesus Christ.

Be Blessed,
