Crucified with Christ

Many believers are walking in salvation, but they are not completely healed from the damages of their former life prior to salvation. These conditions are manifested in many ways such as anger, bitterness, distrust, and the inability to express emotions and many other problems too numerous to list. I confess that some of these conditions cannot be dealt with without professional help, but believers must realize that they are partakers in the death and resurrection of Jesus.

To start overcoming these conditions, believers must put their trust in God and in His Word, and believe what it says about them. What does the Word of God say about you? The Apostle Paul writes, “My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”Galatians 2:20 (NLT)

Did you get the message, “my old self”? Yes your anger, bitterness, distrust, and the inability to express emotions, “has been crucified with Christ.” That means these conditions died on the cross with Christ. This gives you the ability to overcome your past. Tell yourself, and anyone who reminds you about your past, that your old self died on the cross. The person that you see is new in Christ!
