Don’t Say A Word

Have you ever received clear instructions from God? You then follow the instructions, only to encounter resistance, disaster, problems and difficult times. What do you do when your obedience to God brings confrontation? Jesus was totally obedient to his Father’s will. He did nothing without talking to His Father first, and yet He experienced opposition everywhere He went. If Jesus was obedient and encountered resistance and problems, what makes you any different from the Lord? Jesus ultimately triumphed over every difficulty He faced because He did not complain; He just went about His Father’s business.

Unlike Jesus, most of us tend to complain when things are difficult or when we encounter problems. Well, here is a word of advice for you. Keep your mouth shut! Don’t complain; lift your hands in praise and wait for God to do the impossible. “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6 (NASB)

Remember, your obedience to God’s instructions obligates Him to act on your behalf. So, while you are waiting, stop complaining. Don’t say a word; God will finish what He started in your life.
