If you want to be the best at anything, you will need discipline in your life. Talent will open doors, but talent and discipline will keep the doors open and also push you to the next level. Lebron James is considered one of today’s greatest basketball players. He is talented but he is also disciplined. I believe I heard him say after the Miami Heat won the NBA title that he was going to take a few weeks off and then start training again. That takes discipline and that’s what makes him one of the greatest basketball players of all time, and he is not finished yet.
Like Lebron, if you want to be the best at what you do, you will need to have discipline. If you want to experience success in life, you will need to live a disciplined life. Listen to what Solomon said: “Death is the reward of an undisciplined life; your foolish decisions trap you in a dead end.” Proverbs 5:23 (MSG)
Without discipline your success will die, regardless of your talent. Your decision to not live a disciplined life will lead you to a dead end.
