Revelation Comes With Instructions

Revelation Comes With Instructions

February 22, 2016

From Bishop Jemmott’s book Words of Encouragement: Book One

Proverbs 16:20 says, “Those who listen to instruction will prosper; those who trust the Lord will be joyful.” (NASB) As I continue my lessons on revelation, let’s summarize what we have covered so far. First, we learned that nothing new in your life starts without a revelation from God. Second, we learned that every new revelation from God should turn you into a worshiper. Third, when God reveals Himself to you, He reveals something about His nature. And fourth, every revelation from God comes with a promise.

The fifth lesson about revelation is God’s revelations are always accompanied by instructions. Abraham was instructed to circumcise every male as a sign of the covenant. “This is My covenant, which you shall keep, between Me and you and your descendants after you: every male among you shall be circumcised.” Genesis 17:10 (NASB)

Moses was commanded to go to Egypt. “Therefore, come now, and I will send you to Pharaoh, so that you may bring My people, the sons of Israel, out of Egypt.” Exodus 3:10 (NASB)

Remember, you must follow the instructions to be successful. Revelation comes from the Word of God, the Bible.

Be Blessed,

Bishop Jemmott
