Get Off Your Assets And Get Involved

Get Off Your Assets And Get Involved

December 27, 2015

People who live in isolation never get involved. What is involvement? To become involved means to draw in as a participant, to relate closely, to connect, to include. In the early church, all believers participated, related and connected to one another. The Apostle Paul teaches us that as believers we are one body, different parts but one body. “He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.” Ephesians 4:16 (NLT)

Every part of your body is important, you are important to the body of Christ. You are not just a bump on a log; your abilities and talents are needed and are important. Without your involvement, the body will not grow to its full potential.

This coming year, make it your business to get involved. Be like the believers in the first church and devote yourself. “All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.” Acts 2:42 (NLT)

It’s time to get involved; you have been sitting too long. If you’ve been sitting on your assets, it’s time to “Get off Your Assets” and get involved in the body of Christ.

Be Blessed,

Bishop Jemmott
