Work Enthusiastically

Work Enthusiastically

August 12, 2015

Joel Osteen says the following in his book Your Best Life Now: 7 Steps to Living at Your Full Potential:

“One of the main reasons that we lose our enthusiasm in life is because we become ungrateful…we let what was once a miracle become common to us. We get so accustomed to his goodness it becomes a routine.”

Many believers have become indifferent to God and his church because they have lost their enthusiasm for the things of God. They have allowed the passion for the work of God they once had to die, and now what they are doing for the kingdom is done without passion and the quality of that work is questionable. The Apostle Paul said the following: “So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.” 1 Corinthians 15:58 (NLT)

The first thing Paul said is to “be strong and immovable.” Don’t allow people to move you from where God has placed you, and while you are in that place, “Always work enthusiastically.” If your place in the body of Christ is to smile, then give the best smile! If your place is to hug, then give the best bear hugs possible; after all, a good hug can lift a person out of deep depression.

Remember, “nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.”

Be Blessed,

Bishop Jemmott
